Online Editor Position for Association Publication

If you're an enterprising writer/editor with a flair for business journalism, this is the job for you. An association/non-profit organization is looking for a motivated online editor for its communications staff. Join a fast-paced communications group that produces a monthly magazine, an e-mail newsletter, websites and social media content for a trade association audience. The online editor spearheads content development for the weekly e-newsletter (circulation of 75,000) and social media outposts. Duties include: story generation, reporting, writing and print/online editing. We want a quick study who can learn to think like our readers—and deliver the information they need to run a better business.

The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in journalism (or a related field) and 1-3 years of business, trade, association or other relevant reporting/editing experience. Online editing experience preferred. Strong reporting, writing and copyediting skills and command of AP style are required. Excellent organizational and analytical skills with unwavering attention to detail required. Must be able to juggle multiple deadlines and work independently.
