Association Media & Publishing Launches New Educational Program

(McLean, VA, July 15, 2010) — Association Media & Publishing is proud to bring you our newest educational program, the Professional Publishing Series, featuring leading experts from the publishing industry.

"We are thrilled to offer these high-level sessions,” stated Executive Director, Amy Lestition, CAE. "Our expert speakers will discuss the metamorphosis publishing has undergone, a glimpse into the future, and the strategy we need to ensure success for our publications.”

Eric Owen, vice president of digital printing solutions for Kodak will lead the first session and give an honest look at the publishing industry. Owen will explore why print publications will survive, what has to happen to make publishing relevant and what is making it all possible.

The first program in the series is on September 23, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the National Guard Association of the United States which is located at One Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001. The program is complimentary for members and 40 dollars for non-members. Continental breakfast will be served.

The Professional Publishing Series will also bring the print and creative director of Sappi Paper in on November 4, 2010 to discuss the most appropriate mix of print and technology that will help strengthen your communication message. The senior product specialist with Adobe will explain how to enhance static mailings, PDF uploads and other traditional media on February 10, 2011.

"I encourage anyone who has an interest in media and publishing to attend these high-impact sessions to gain a greater understanding of the publishing industry as a whole,” shared Lestition.
