Association Media & Publishing is honored to announce the winners for the 30th Annual EXCEL Awards, which recognize the best and brightest in association media and publishing.
175 winners, representing 91 associations, were selected from nearly 1,000 entries. Winners were chosen for taking bold chances in editorial, design, advertising and marketing, online publishing, digital editions, mobile applications and electronic newsletter categories. 30th Annual EXCEL Awards Gala
The award recipients and association industry are honored and celebrated at the 30th EXCEL Awards Gala at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. on June 14, 2010. The evening will begin with a reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by a formal dinner at 6:30 p.m. The coveted EXTRA! Awards will also be recognized for pushing the edge of the envelope further to innovate in an ever-changing publishing environment. About the EXCEL Awards The EXCEL Awards honor and represent the best publishing products of the association industry. The coveted EXCEL Award is the pinnacle of peer recognition and the seal of excellence in association publishing.
The program judges nearly 1,000 association publications, including magazines, newsletters, scholarly journals, electronic publications and websites in the areas of editorial quality, design, general excellence, most improved and many more. Seize the opportunity to recognize and reward the exemplary work of association publishing colleagues!
Award Categories Gold (first place), Silver (second place) and Bronze (third place) awards are presented in most categories as well as the EXTRA! Awards for pioneering, cutting edge, publishing excellence. EXTRA! award winners are chosen from among the EXCEL winners for pushing the edge of the envelope further and taking bold chances to innovate in an ever-changing publishing environment.
Judging Criteria A panel of publication and communication experts familiar with the general goals and objectives of association publishing will judge the entries. Judges are organized in teams for each category. They score entries individually to ensure the most objective evaluation of the intended audience, mission of the organization, and the significance of the piece in the field.
2011 EXCEL Awards The Call for Entries brochure will mail in early Winter and the deadline will be mid-late February 2011. Receive the recognition you and your staff deserve by entering your publications in any number of categories for which they qualify.
